Witney & District Museum is a historic museum in the heart of the Cotswolds. Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund we designed a permanent gallery experience for the Bartlett Taylor Gallery. In collaboration with exhibition designer Sam Brown, we worked with museum staff and volunteers to co-design the space and displays, ensuring local stories and community perspectives shaped the visitor experience.

The gallery brings together thematic exhibitions exploring Witney's history, industry heritage and culture. A low-intervention exhibition architecture was designed to respect the character of the Grade II listed building while enhancing opportunities for display, interpretation and engagement.

Inspired by the town's industrial heritage, we created an visual identity and exhibition system that transforms the museum into more accessible and engaging space. Sustainable materials, interactive digital installations and hands-on experiences encourage exploration, while a clear visitor journey creates an inclusive and engaging environment that connects audiences with Witney's past and present.
